About Samuel

I am a tutor of mathematics and science with over ten years of experience in person and online. This has matched well with my passion for the subjects I have studied and investigated as an academic; first physics as an undergraduate student, then analytic number theory in my master's degree.

About the lesson

I work mainly with students from grade 9 to first year university, although I do extend to middle school students and some more advanced university students for some material.

I have my students do as much work themselves as is appropriate to develop their knowledge in a field; people learn best by doing, and solving complete problems is the best proof a student can provide to both of us that they have absorbed material. Depending on a student's needs, like test proximity and learning objectives, I can adjust my tutoring to be more abstract and forward looking, addressing weak points in prior material, or focusing specifically on current material.
