Private Maths Tuition with a PhD Student

Hi, I’m Josh — a mathematics PhD student and experienced tutor. I’ve been where a lot of students are now: frustrated, stuck, and unsure where to turn when maths stops making sense. I didn’t always find it easy either — and I haven’t forgotten what that feels like. That’s exactly why I tutor. I know how powerful the right support can be.

- Current maths PhD student at the University of Exeter
- Experience as a Postgraduate Teaching Assistant, supporting undergraduate students with Maths, Physics and coding in Python
- Over a years’ experience tutoring GCSE and A-Level maths
- Background as a qualified watersports instructor so I know how to explain things clearly and adapt to different learning styles

My approach is calm, structured, and tailored to your needs. Whether you’re preparing for exams, aiming to boost your grades, or just trying to build confidence, I’ll help you make progress in a way that makes sense to you.
