About Bethany

I’ve always seen math as a creative puzzle, and I love sharing that perspective with my students. My teaching style is patient and supportive, with plenty of opportunities for students to ask questions and work through problems at their own pace. I strive to make my classroom a place where mistakes are viewed as learning opportunities, not setbacks. This helps students stay motivated and develop a growth mindset. I adapt my lessons to fit each student’s needs, ensuring they always feel challenged but never overwhelmed. I bring real-world applications into every lesson to help students see the practical side of math. Whether it's using math in engineering or analyzing data for business, I show how math connects to the world outside the classroom. This keeps lessons both relevant and engaging. Ultimately, my goal is to make math feel accessible and even enjoyable. I want students to leave my class with not just a solid understanding of the material, but also the confidence to tackle any mathematical challenge that comes their way.

About the lesson

Math isn’t just about numbers—it’s about recognizing patterns and understanding how they shape the world. I guide students through the journey of discovering logic and reasoning that unlocks the beauty of mathematics. Together, we make abstract concepts clear and practical.

Each lesson starts with a foundational idea, which we build upon step by step. I focus on ensuring students understand the "why" behind the equations, not just the "how." This makes even the toughest problems feel manageable and helps them develop confidence in their mathematical thinking.

I use real-life examples and visual aids to make math come alive. From geometry to algebra, every topic is rooted in things they can relate to. By the end, students are able to apply their math skills in various fields, from technology to finance to everyday life.
