About Gabe
I recently graduated from Western Washington University with a BS in Mathematics and a minor in chemistry. I will be returning as a graduate student next year, and will be teaching courses in pre-calc & algebra. After tutoring for three years, seeing the impact that tailored instruction can have on students is one of my favorite things, so I'm excited to continue working with students one-on-one. Some of my favorite things to do outside of teaching are hiking, slacklining, and seeing live music!

I strive to create an environment that is tuned to each student's specific needs. I create customized lesson plans that help students build an intuitive understanding of concepts to avoid relying on memorization. My lessons usually contain a combination of brief mini lectures that explain where concepts come from, and selected practice problems that build a framework for applying these concepts. I also encourage students to ask as many questions as they can think of, it's maybe the most important part of learning!
