About Mira

My passion for Mathematics began with a love for structure, patterns, and the satisfying clarity that comes from solving challenging problems. I earned a B.Sc in Mathematics followed by an M.Sc in Pure Mathematics, where I deepened my understanding of abstract reasoning, algebraic thinking, and geometric interpretation. Over my 7 years of teaching, I have worked with learners at every level—from elementary school math and middle school math to advanced algebra, geometry, and SAT math—helping them build confidence through clear instruction and individualized support. I believe that every learner can succeed in Mathematics when given the right guidance and environment. My teaching style emphasizes patience, warmth, and clarity. I use visual models, real-world examples, structured breakdowns, and guided reasoning to help students truly understand rather than memorize. This approach helps learners feel supported, capable, and motivated, even when tackling challenging content. Outside of teaching, I explore mathematical puzzles, problem-solving frameworks, and innovative instructional strategies that enrich my lessons. Helping students transform self-doubt into confidence, curiosity, and mastery is one of the most rewarding parts of my work, and I feel honored to be part of their mathematical journey.

About the lesson

Mathematics becomes approachable when students experience it as a structured, logical journey rather than a set of intimidating rules. My lessons help learners build confidence in elementary school math, middle school math, algebra, geometry, and SAT math, using patient, step-by-step explanation. Beginners strengthen number sense, arithmetic reasoning, patterns, and early problem-solving through visual aids and practical examples. These foundations are essential for developing long-term mathematical confidence and preparing students for more complex topics.

Intermediate learners explore multi-step problems, algebraic expressions, coordinate geometry, ratios, percents, and equation solving. I emphasize helping students understand why each step matters, building intuitive reasoning and problem-analysis skills. Students learn error-checking habits, diagram-based thinking, and structured approaches to complex questions. This stage of learning encourages independence, deeper engagement, and smoother transition into advanced mathematics.

Advanced lessons include higher-level algebra, SAT math strategies, geometry applications, and analytical reasoning tasks designed to strengthen accuracy and speed. Students learn to evaluate multiple solution pathways, compare problem structures, and think critically about mathematical models. My goal is to help learners develop not only academic mastery but also confidence, persistence, and logical thinking habits that apply far beyond mathematics.
