About Patrick
I dual-majored in Mathematics and Classics, and I tutored in math and writing while at college and law school. I am an attorney licensed in Michigan, but I do this on the side. I love math and want to share that enthusiasm.

I firmly believe that nobody is "bad at math." In my experience, when people say that, it's because schools teach math like it's a competition: some people, we're told, are good with numbers, and those people get fast-tracked to advanced math while everyone else knocks their heads against times tables. When math is taught with patience, with a focus on the "why" rather than the "how," any student can learn it just as well as they can learn to read and write.
Lessons are geared toward middle school and high school students. Because every school is different, I don't have strict lesson plans. Show me what you're struggling with and tell me your goals, and we'll make a plan together.
In-person lessons are available around Grand Rapids, Michigan. Online lessons available anywhere.
