About Aidan

I am currently a Clinical Research Fellow in the Nguyen Eye Lab at Stanford Medicine where I am researching the modification of Indocyanine Green for cataract surgery with Dr. Jia-Horung Hung. In addition, in Stanford's Roberts Vision Development & Oculomotor Lab, I am using fractals to research the neural mechanisms behind human perception. Beyond my research, I am deeply committed to education and mentorship. I co-founded Penn Students for Students, an organization dedicated to providing mentorship and tutoring to children within the Pennsylvania justice system. As the Tutoring and Program Director, I developed and implemented lesson plans grounded in psychological principles and essential life skills such as financial literacy. Over three years, I had the privilege of personally teaching and mentoring over 75 students in both group and individual settings. My passion for education extends to my work as a teacher. I have taught biology at Everest Public High School and served as a financial literacy, math, and English instructor for the after-school program at Peninsula Bridge. Additionally, during my middle and high school years, I tutored over 20 students in math and English at the Redwood City Library. Academically, I graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania, where I earned the highest academic honor. My academic journey spans a wide range of disciplines, including calculus, statistics, English, chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry, physics, biology, and psychology. I also achieved perfect scores on the AP Calculus AB, AP US History, and AP Psychology exams, as well as the Math Level 2 SAT subject test, and earned a 35 superscore on the ACT. With over seven years of tutoring experience, a proven track record of academic excellence, and a deep commitment to making a positive impact through education, I am dedicated to helping my students achieve their highest potential while building confidence, effective time management, and a balanced academic life.

About the lesson

I offer a comprehensive approach to tutoring that draws from my extensive knowledge across natural sciences, mathematics, humanities, business, psychology, and the arts. My goal is to provide my students with deep conceptual understanding, enabling them to connect ideas across disciplines and apply their knowledge effectively.

Beyond content mastery, I focus on equipping my students with the best study skills and test-taking strategies that I honed during my time as an Ivy League student, neuroscientist, and developmental psychology scientist. These skills are designed to help them excel in their classes with confidence, manage their time effectively, and maintain a balanced academic life.
