About Mya

My teaching approach focuses on patience, clear explanations, and adapting lessons to each student's individual needs. I believe that every student learns differently, and I work to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes while they grow.
My goal is to help students not only improve their grades but also develop the confidence and skills needed to become independent learners. I am a tutor who understands the frustration and challenges that come with learning new coursework every week. Having experienced these struggles myself, YOU CAN DO IT!

About the lesson

I tutor Algebra, Mathematics, Physics, Reading, and Writing, helping students build confidence while strengthening their problem-solving, comprehension, and communication skills. Whether you're preparing for an exam, catching up in class, improving your writing, or trying to understand difficult concepts, I tailor each lesson to your individual learning style and goals.
I believe every student can succeed with the right guidance and practice. I completed many math classes including algebra, Geometry and AP Calculus BC in high school, where I developed a strong foundation in advanced mathematics and problem-solving. My experience taught me the importance of understanding concepts rather than memorizing formulas. My teaching focuses on breaking down complex ideas into simple, manageable steps while helping students develop stronger analytical and communication skills.
During our sessions, I use real-world examples, guided practice, and personalized explanations to make challenging topics easier to understand. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades but also to develop the confidence to learn independently.
I create a patient, supportive, and judgment-free learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing from them. I adapt my teaching style to each student's needs, explain concepts in multiple ways until they click, and focus on building a strong foundation for long-term success in academics.
