About Steven
I graduated from Amherst College in 2011, majoring in mathematics and economics. During my college years, I participated in various tutoring programs to help students bolster their academics. Afterwards, I got into the teaching profession as a mathematics teacher. Most recently, I have been working in the Boston Public Schools before moving back to California.

My teaching method revolves around having students make connections between various mathematical representations in order to strengthen their underlying mathematical understanding. I typically like starting with simple, informal problems that tie into the larger concepts as a way for students to access the content.
