About Junwoo

My name is Junwoo Lee, and I am a high school student with a strong passion for math, physics, and engineering. I currently serve as the leader of the electrical department of my school’s robotics team, where I work with electrical systems, problem-solving, and technical design.

Throughout high school, I have challenged myself by taking every physics course available at my school, including all four AP-level physics courses, and I have consistently earned excellent results. I have also competed in multiple math and physics competitions, which has helped me develop strong problem-solving skills and a deeper understanding of these subjects.

Math is one of the subjects I am most passionate about, and one of my strengths is making difficult ideas feel much simpler. I enjoy breaking complicated problems into smaller, more understandable steps and explaining concepts in ways that are easier to remember.

I have also spent a significant amount of time tutoring and helping my classmates with math and physics throughout high school. I have received very positive feedback from the students I have helped, especially regarding my ability to explain difficult concepts clearly and patiently.

My goal as a tutor is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to help them become more confident and independent when approaching math and physics problems.

About the lesson

My lessons are designed for students in 12th grade or below who want help with math or physics. Each lesson will be organized around the student’s individual needs, whether they need help understanding a difficult topic, completing homework, preparing for a test, or strengthening their overall understanding of the subject.

I focus on making difficult concepts easier to understand by breaking them down step by step. I use plenty of analogies, real-life examples, visuals, and simple explanations so that students can connect new ideas to things they already understand. This is especially useful in math and physics, where one difficult concept can sometimes make the rest of a topic feel confusing.

A typical lesson may include reviewing previous material, identifying areas the student is struggling with, explaining new concepts, working through examples together, and giving the student practice problems to try independently. I will also check their understanding throughout the lesson instead of simply moving on after explaining something once.

Rather than just showing students how to get the correct answer, I want them to understand why the method works and how to approach similar problems on their own. If one explanation does not make sense, I will try a different approach until we find one that works for the student.

Lessons can also be adjusted for different goals, including homework help, quiz and test preparation, catching up on missed material, reviewing older concepts, or getting ahead in class.

I tutor math and physics for students from elementary school through 12th grade. All lessons are held online through Zoom, and I am available on weekdays after 5:30 PM.
