About the lesson

I’m a Maths tutor with over 8 years of teaching experience and a Master’s degree in Statistics. My passion lies in exploring how mathematics fuels creativity in art and design. I believe maths is not just about numbers it’s a language for patterns, motion, and form. I specialise in mathematical problem-solving tailored for creative disciplines. One of my favourite areas to teach is parametric equations, which we use to generate stunning visual art. I also guide students through Fourier analysis, revealing how mathematical functions shape sound and drive digital synthesis. Tessellations are another fascinating topic, where geometry meets beauty through intricate patterns and repetition. To bridge theory with creativity, I incorporate software tools like Processing and Blender into lessons. These platforms allow students to visualise maths dynamically and apply it in real-world digital projects. My approach encourages experimentation, curiosity, and hands-on exploration. Each session is a blend of structure and creativity, where students discover the artistic side of mathematics. I aim to inspire learners to see maths as a tool for imagination and design innovation.
