About Lisa
I was a math teacher in New York for seven years. I taught a variety of grade levels, from sixth grade math to Pre-Calculus. Although I enjoy all aspects of math, my favorites are Algebra and Geometry because their applications in real life are so interesting and relevant.

I have a masters degree in Mathematics and Special Education from St. John's University. My approach is to first learn what my students' understand, and then build from this knowledge. By better understanding the material and practicing, I hope to bolster their confidence in mathematics.
