About Glenda

Math is more than a school subject, but a big part of your life. You use math everyday in your life. For example, money exchanges, figuring out the distance and time needed for getting from one location to another. If you were sharing a candy bar with a friend(s), you need to know how to divide the bar evenly.
Math is an exciting part of engineering, astronomy, and chemistry. The concepts that you learn can help you make dreams come true in innovations, and research. Math has helped me to create interactive learning objects for various course studies in higher education.
Math provides more than concepts for solving problems, but the ability to use good reasoning skills to further your ideas.
And finally, math can give you the confidence to take objects and computer programs apart, to analyze them and to see how they work. Once you have reassembled the object, you may find a better way of improving its function, based on good systematic thinking.
I have worked in education for 29 years, in higher education.
And in that time, I have learned over 25 different computer programs by breaking them, studying their functionality, and often finding a better way to use them.

About the lesson

I have loved math since I was in middle school. Once I figured out the best way to approach a problem, there was no code impossible to figure out. When doing math problems, you need a good foundation.
* Basic Skills (adding, subtraction, multiplication, and
division of various types of numbers)
*Ability to identify key words in word problem
*Understanding of Concepts
*finally..The Ability to Laugh at yourself when you
make a mistake
While mathematics is fun, it also take patience with yourself and the belief that you can do it.

I will make it my responsibility to make sure that your basic skills are strong. You will not get far without a good foundation.

The real prize is getting the right answer, when you didn't think that you could. And when you get the concepts, I have done my job.
