About Anja

Hello everyone, my name is Anja and I completed my teaching degree in special education last year. During my studies, I focused on psychology and pedagogy, and I chose math and biology as my subjects because I excelled in them during school. I'm particularly fascinated by the logic behind math and the secrets of nature. As a special education teacher, I also teach all the usual subjects at a basic level, so we can happily explore other subjects as needed. Throughout my training, I've gained practical experience both in the classroom and online. My goal is to present the material in a way that makes learning FUN - because that way, it’s twice as effective! I love creating creative and engaging, yet academically sound learning aids. After graduating, I initially chose to pursue my big dream of traveling the world before I start teaching full-time at a school next year. So, I'm currently very flexible when it comes to scheduling. I look forward to a great learning experience together! During my studies, I taught for half a year in an inclusive setting at a secondary school. I also completed several voluntary internships at special and regular schools to develop a good sense of my students and their learning needs. In addition to the experiences I've gathered over 8 years in the classroom, I've provided tutoring in all subjects (wherever support was needed) for 2 years, and during the pandemic, I offered online tutoring in math.

About the lesson

I enjoy working with interactive learning materials and like to do math games as a little "warm-up." I believe it's important that tutoring happens in constant communication and that we build a trusting relationship - only then can we tackle mistakes and understanding issues together. The topics we cover are always based on necessity, and I'm happy to support other subjects as well (though this may require more preparation time depending on the subject). Learning should be fun, and I'm here to help you with that! Together, we'll discover the logic of math and the secrets of nature. Let's clarify your questions and build your knowledge!
