About David
I am currently on route to becoming a fully qualified teacher in the biological sciences. I have always had a passion and interest in science as it exaplains the world around us. After obtaining my masters degree at Strathclyde univeristy, I went on to work in the pharmaceutical sector where I developed bioassays for cancer drugs. I always tend to use real world examples and prepare my pupils for the world of work. I have combined my love of science and teaching to inspire and motivate pupils to go into the sciences.

Learning is different for everyone. In my lessons, I tend to build good raport with my students in order to allow them to settle in with ease. All of my resources are differentiated and take into account any pupils with learning difficulties. Each lesson is tailored to the pupil's needs. I like to teach pupils learning strategies to tackle and triumph over difficult concepts, while also developing numercy, scientific literacy and health and wellbeing. I like to teach my pupils critical thinking at S3 level and above, which is a pivotal skill in any academic and scientific career.
- Lessons are usually 1 to 2 hours long depending on level.
- Willing to teach S1 and S2 science curriculum (Contains topics in chemistry and physiscs).
