About Cathy
Hello!
So nice to meet you! I have been singing and performing in a variety of musical styles and settings for over 25 years. I have been a music teacher and private piano/voice coach for over 20 years as well. I have a graduate degree in music from SMU and two undergraduate music degrees from ASU.
I love teaching students how to read and play music! Music is such an enjoyable part of our lives and I truly believe it enhances the quality of our lives. My family loves music: my husband and sons all play brass instruments and/or sing.

I teach using a variety of lesson, theory, and technique materials determined by the experience level of each student.
Each lesson usually consists of a brief warm-up, review of previous lesson, and learning new information in a fun and easy-going atmosphere.
I have been teaching K- adult piano and voice lessons for over 20 years. I love sharing my experience and knowledge with others and learning from each of my students! I have performed for over 25 years in many different musical styles. I am a very positive person and provide encouragement to students as they progress and help brainstorm ways to improve when progress is slow.
I teach piano, voice, ukulele, and guitar lessons to students ages kindergarten through adults. We use method/lesson and theory books as resources to practice between lessons.
