About Cameron
My name is Cameron Gray, and I am a practicing professional artist. I consider myself living proof that with hard work and dedication, anyone can become an artist. I was 19 years old when it finally clicked that the doodles I used to draw as a kid could be something more. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree from Auburn University. After graduating, I was selected to become the Lead Printer at Evil Prints in St. Louis, MO, where I worked for three years. Following that, I continued my education at Iowa State University, where I completed my Master of Fine Arts degree in 2020. From a young age, I have always loved teaching and sharing what I know. I believe deeply in paying it forward. If it weren’t for the classmates and mentors who guided and supported me, I would not have achieved the success I have in my career. My hope is that throughout our time together, I will not only help you become a better artist, but also share with you the same guidance and wisdom that was generously given to me.

Creating art is a skill that I believe everyone can do and should be able to access and appreciate. Through my lessons, I hope that not only will you grow to become a better artist, but a better human being as well. In my teaching process, my main goal as a tutor is to make you stronger every day in your chosen field but also expand your mind in thinking of how some great artists have used some of the techniques you will be taught, to further expand your art history knowledge and to give you perfect examples of them in action so you have a reference point that you can observe and practice while we are not in session. My prime directive is to make you the best artist possible, while expanding your view on what art is and how it can truly make an impact on the community at large.
