About Tula
Hello! I'm a classically trained violinist and dedicated tutor with over 3 years of experience. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a focus on violin performance. My background spans solo work, chamber music, and orchestral performance, all of which deeply inform my teaching. I work with advanced students who are preparing for auditions, competitions, or conservatory programs. My focus is on developing expressive playing, stage presence, and technical excellence. I help students break down complex repertoire into manageable steps and interpret music with confidence and depth. In lessons, we go beyond the notes. We explore what the music is saying — and how to communicate it clearly. I also help students prepare mentally and emotionally for performance settings. Every session is designed to strengthen both skill and musical voice. If you’re passionate about the violin and ready to grow, I’m here to help guide your journey.

In my violin teaching, I focus on helping students feel in control of their instrument while learning to express themselves musically. Key areas include bowing technique, intonation, tone production, and posture. Good habits in these areas help everything else fall into place.
I work especially well with students who are coming from a background of group music-making or personal practice, and want to feel more confident in solo playing. You don’t need to be perfect — just ready to grow. I create a friendly space where you can ask questions, take your time, and enjoy the process.
My lessons combine technical work with expressive playing. We’ll break down tricky sections, explore musical phrasing, and build your dynamic range. I also help students learn to practice smarter, not harder.
