About Jillian
I am a Secondary Teacher specialising in English, Drama and Society & Culture. I have been teaching since 2017. This is a second career, in the past I held a corporate position in North Sydney as a Media Manager for Regional newspapers prior to becoming a mother to 3 children. I now care for my elderly mother at home and am looking to secure a casual position as a tutor.

I take an assigned-topic, student centred approach to teaching based on encouraging students to reach their maximum potential in an inclusive and collaborative environment of mixed ability. I have an interest in the flipped-classroom model which, I believe, would be especially effective in tutoring students at a distance.
