About Joséphine

Since my childhood, I have traveled to Great Britain on a number of occasions. British culture has always been fascinating to me. This interest led to my graduation from high school with a British International Baccalaureate (OIB) with High Honors. Then, I successfully got my Bachelor's degree in Law with Honors. During my Bachelor years, I was a member of the Franco-British Section and was the co-president its Society on my last year as an undergraduate student. I spent one semester in Erasmus at the University of Zagreb (Croatia) where all my courses were taught in English.
Besides, I had the opportunity to work as a waitress in England for a summer.
Now I am a postgraduate student in International Law at the University of Nottingham and currently live in Nottingham.
All of my lessons will be delivered by Zoom, Skype or Microsoft Teams.

About the lesson

From my experience, practice leads to more progress than pure theory. My lessons will be based, depending on your level, on conversations in English, during which vocabulary and pronunciation will be trained, and on memo cards summarizing each session that you will be able to keep. Depending on what you want, I can suggest reading short texts or novels (in English), which we can then discuss (in English). I also offer dictation exercises in English. If necessary, we can focus for a few lessons on grammatical bases of the language or on irregular verbs. I will adapt according to your needs. In short: whatever your knowledge of the language, I prefer an interactive approach that will invite you to invest yourself, take risks and create the mental mechanisms that will allow you to speak the language fluently.

Details

Prices do not vary according the student's level.
However, if you wish to take several lessons per week, a discount of 15% will be applied (11€/h).
If you can't make it for a lesson, we will manage to postpone it.
