About Italo
I am pursuing a master's degree in Anglophone Studies / English Literature at the Sorbonne. I have a B.A. in English and have been teaching English for 8 and a half years, having obtained a CELTA (Certificate of Proficiency in Teaching the English Language) from the University of Cambridge. I have lived and worked in Brazil and Russia as a teacher.

I believe one has to adapt to the needs of the student. I use different methodologies and approaches, namely:
- linguistic induction through the use of visual aids
- "learning by doing," i.e., getting the student to produce language in relation to the world around him
- communicative approach (the different aspects of language in a context; using authentic audiovisual materials (i.e. not artificial / forced)
- the ideal course brings together the 4 basic language skills: Listening (oral comprehension), reading (written comprehension), speaking (oral expression) , write (written expression)
Trained in teaching techniques at the University of Cambridge, I offer various types of support:
- Academic support (college, high school)
- Private lessons (or in groups depending on demand) addressing all aspects of learning a foreign language: grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, written and oral expression.
- Support in the preparation of specific exams (French or international): Baccalaureate; TOEFL; TOEIC; Cambridge Certificates (Key English Test, Preliminary English Test, First Certificate in English)
