I am a dedicated musician and composer with a Bachelor's Degree in Jazz Studies from Capilano University, currently pursuing my Master's Degree in composition at York University. With a profound passion for music, I have a rich background in both performance and composition, making me an ideal choice for your guitar lessons.

Having spent a decade honing my skills on the guitar, I've delved into a diverse range of genres including jazz, blues, rock, funk, and Latin music. My musical journey has been shaped by invaluable guidance from renowned musicians like 2-time Latin Grammy Nominee Francisco Avellaneda, Bill Coon, Ron Samworth, John Korsrud, and Bradshaw Pack. Their mentorship has not only refined my technique but has also instilled in me a deep appreciation for the intricacies of music.

In addition to my proficiency as a guitarist, I possess a profound understanding of music theory, composition, performance, arranging, and improvisation. My academic pursuits and practical experience have allowed me to cultivate a comprehensive skill set that I am eager to share with you. Perfect! Student review: He’s a great teacher, very passionate and friendly. He make stuff very easy to learn. He taught me to have great habits and technique. I wanted to keep doing lessons with him but sadly I can’t as he moved to Toronto. His classes were fun, I’ve learned to have confidence in my skills and learn to improvise and play without being nervous. I thank him a lot for my improvement.

Mom’s review: I was so lucky to find him here at superprof. My son had been learning elec guitar for an year from another teacher but I didn’t see much improvement with his skills. Since my son had lesson with Andres, I definitely saw some progress. He is not only a great teacher but also a great human-being. He is very responsible, passionate, polite and friendly. My son and I were so sad that he had to move to Toronto. It’s really hard to find a teacher like him.
