About Lexi

My teaching methodology for piano is built on five core principles: compassion, communication, creativity, flexibility, and problem-solving. I create a supportive and understanding environment, recognising that every student learns at their own pace. I am patient and encouraging, ensuring that students feel comfortable and motivated to grow. Open and clear communication is key to my teaching. I make sure students understand the concepts, offering regular feedback and always being available for questions or concerns. I encourage students to explore their musical ideas and express themselves. By integrating improvisation, composition, and interpretation into lessons, I help students develop their unique musical voice. I adapt my lessons to meet each student’s specific needs and goals, whether they’re focusing on exams, performance skills, or general piano mastery. I tailor my approach to their learning style. I use a hands-on approach to address challenges, breaking down complex concepts into manageable steps and guiding students to find solutions. I empower students to tackle difficult pieces and theory with confidence. This flexible methodology extends to other subjects I teach, ensuring that all students receive personalised, effective, and engaging lessons.
