About Aven
I have 3 years of experience teaching piano both in-person and online. I hold a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance with a focus on Pedagogy. My teaching philosophy centers on developing sight-reading fluency and deep score analysis to help students interpret complex classical repertoire with confidence. I adapt my lessons to fit each student’s individual goals and learning style. Alongside technical skills, I incorporate music history, theory, and finger exercises to build a well-rounded musical foundation. I also emphasize period performance practices to bring authenticity to the music we study. I have worked with students ranging from beginners to advanced pianists, as well as professional and expert classical players. My goal is to support each student’s artistic growth and technical mastery. I create a positive, encouraging environment that nurtures both skill and musical expression. Preparing for recitals and auditions is a key part of my method, with tailored practice plans and realistic mock performances. I’m especially skilled at supporting The Exam Taker and The Church Musician, guiding them to overcome nerves and shine on stage. Each lesson is designed to boost your confidence while refining your technical and musical skills. You’ll learn how to perform with both artistry and assurance. My goal is to help you enjoy playing in front of others and make every performance count. Together, we’ll turn your hard work into powerful musical moments. You’ll leave each session ready to step onto any stage with poise.
