About Thordis

I am a Master's graduate in Egyptology, with a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy and Egyptology. My journey in teaching began in my school years, where I provided tutoring in various subjects. With four years of experience teaching Middle Egyptian at the university, teaching has developed into one of my passions. Currently, I am pursuing a doctorate in Belgium. I became fluent in English during a six-month stay in England, and this is how I also began teaching in English.

Are you ready to dive into German? With years of experience teaching both at the university level and working with school kids and a background in humanities, I offer lessons depending on your needs. Whether you prefer pure conversation, a mix of skills, or focused grammar sessions, I want to make your learning fun!

I really enjoyed the lessons with Adam. He is open, friendly, and curious, approaching each task with genuine interest and enthusiasm. He picks up new ideas quickly and participates with great energy. Sometimes, he could be a little more patient with himself.

Thordis taught the Tutorial for Middle Egyptian hieroglyphs that I took at the Humboldt-Universität in Berlin. She always clearly described the complex grammatical concepts while still making it fun, which made them more simple and comprehensible. She was always open to addressing each question from the students and made sure that everyone understood. Thus, I recommend her for any type of language learning, be it ancient or modern languages.
