About Zakaria

Hi, I’m Zak! I am an incoming first-year undergraduate at University College London (UCL), where I will be studying International Management.

Having recently achieved a high A in AQA A-Level Geography, I am deeply passionate about the subject, from analysing physical landscapes and carbon cycles to understanding complex global governance and human geography.. Because I just successfully navigated the intense jump from GCSE to A-Level, the exam pressures, revision strategies, and exact mark scheme requirements are entirely fresh in my mind.

I know exactly how overwhelming the workload can get, especially when balancing mock exams with your NEA and university applications. I started tutoring because I want to share the exact strategies, coursework templates, and revision techniques that helped me secure a place on last year's most competitive course at a top 8 global university.

Beyond just teaching the syllabus, my goal is to be a relatable mentor. I am here to help you build confidence, master your exam technique, and, if you need it, guide you through your UCAS applications so you can secure a spot at your dream university too!

About the lesson

My Geography lessons are heavily tailored to the AQA specification, breaking down the complexities of both Human and Physical geography into manageable, easy-to-understand concepts. Having recently achieved a high A in my own AQA A-Level (falling just a few marks shy of an A*), I know exactly what the examiners are looking for and how to structure answers to access the top mark bands.

Beyond the exam papers, I also scored a strong A in my Independent Investigation (NEA). The coursework can often feel incredibly daunting, so I offer dedicated NEA support sessions. During these, I provide my students with proven structural templates, data presentation advice, and step-by-step guidance to help you secure top grades before you even step foot in the exam hall.

Whether we are tackling carbon cycles, global governance, or perfectly structuring your NEA, my lessons are focused on building your confidence and maximising your marks.

My standard rates apply to regular daytime hours. However, I understand that student schedules can be hectic! If you require "off-hours" sessions (such as late evenings or weekends) or prefer to have your lessons online, these can easily be arranged for a small additional fee.
