About Ethan

I am originally from Plettenberg Bay, a small coastal town in the southern part of South Africa, but have lived in multiple towns and cities across the country. These moves have taught me how to adapt quickly and the importance of understanding and appreciating people and their different perspectives. They also sparked my interest in connecting and helping others, which motivated me to explore teaching. I am an organized person with strong problem-solving skills. I have the ability to approach challenges from multiple angles, which helps me find practical solutions. Honesty and clear communication are key strengths of mine. I continuously aim to create an environment that supports collaboration and trust. Patience and empathy are important aspects of my character, especially when helping others learn or develop new skills. I also have strong time-management skills, enabling me to stay focused and productive. These qualities make me a reliable and trustworthy person, who values growth and development. I hold a National Senior Certificate, having completed my Grade 12 education with a strong academic foundation. I have received a distinction for my TEFL certification, which equips me with the tools to teach English as a foreign language. This qualification reflects my commitment and dedication to education and my passion for helping others succeed. Additionally, I have obtained a Level 3 First Aid certification, equipping me with the knowledge and skills to handle emergency situations with confidence and care. My interests include traveling, language, art, fashion, science and math, reflecting my curiosity and creativity. I enjoy exploring new ideas and continuously expanding my knowledge. I also value learning about different cultures and traveling to gain a wider perspective on the world. Spending time outdoors, or with animals, and journaling are activities that I find both grounding and reflective. This has helped me develop patience, adaptability, and the ability to create engaging and effective learning experiences.
