About Selene
I am an English tutor with over 9 years of experience and a Bachelor of Arts in English Communication with a focus on Linguistics. My passion is helping students improve their pronunciation, intonation, and fluency through phonetic training and real-life speech practice. I work closely with non-native speakers who want to sound natural and confident in everyday conversations. My teaching includes using audio tools that allow students to hear and compare their speech, helping them fine-tune their sounds. Shadowing exercises are a key part of my method—where students listen and repeat immediately to build rhythm and flow. I also use intonation maps to show how pitch changes in different sentences, making speech more expressive and clear. I believe that clear communication opens doors, whether in social settings, academics, or the workplace. My lessons are practical and tailored to each student’s needs, focusing on real-world speaking skills.
