Lesson Structure for English Reading Tutoring
1. Introduction & Warm-Up (5-10 minutes)

Greet the student warmly and ask about their day.

Share the goal for today’s session (e.g., improving comprehension, vocabulary, etc.).
2. Reading Assessment or Practice (10-15 minutes)
Objective: Gauge or develop the student’s reading level.
Have the student read a passage aloud to assess fluency and pronunciation.
Focus on reading comprehension by discussing the meaning of the text.
Identify any difficult words or phrases for vocabulary review.
3. Skill Focus Activity (15-20 minutes)
Objective: Improve specific reading-related skills.
For younger learners: Work on phonics, decoding, or sight words.
For older learners: Focus on context clues, inferencing, or analyzing themes.
Use worksheets, flashcards, or online tools for interactive learning.
