About Geoffrey
"Teaching exists because I enjoy watching the pieces click into place during a tense match. The sound of a chess clock ticking reminds me of the pressure students face when mastering pattern recognition and endgame technique.
I have coached 415 students over 4 years to sharpen their pawn structures and piece coordination. My Master of Science in Statistics from Imperial College London allows me to approach tournament preparation with a data driven mindset. Beyond the opening repertoire building, we work heavily on time management and accurate recording and notation. It is genuinely enjoyable to watch a student stop blundering and start controlling the board with total clarity."

"Does your current training method leave you wondering if you are actually improving? Providing a study plan tracked week to week remains the most effective way to help my students monitor their growth. Since my background involves 4 years of competitive instruction, I translate complex positional theory into actionable steps for your specific needs. Holding an MSc in Statistics from Imperial College London, I emphasise the mathematical side of board control and efficient decision making.
This structured format ensures that every move you make on the board is backed by sound reasoning. You will notice that my method relies on logical progression rather than guessing at the best candidate moves. I plan to simplify your tactical training so that you spend less time confused and more time winning. We will focus on keeping your development consistent throughout our time together."
