About Jereena
Hello! I am a professional Full Stack Developer with over 5 years of experience in the tech industry, currently based in Dubai. I have a passion for teaching and empowering students to build real-world web applications from the ground up. My teaching philosophy is "Learn by Doing." I believe the most effective way to master programming is not just through theory, but by building tangible, portfolio-worthy projects. Whether you're a beginner starting your coding journey or a university student tackling a complex project, I provide structured, hands-on lessons tailored to your goals.

My philosophy is that the best way to learn to code is to build real, tangible projects. I move away from dry, theoretical lectures and focus on a hands-on, practical methodology that keeps students engaged and motivated. 1. Techniques and Teaching Methodology: Project-Based Learning (PBL): This is the core of my approach. Instead of abstract exercises, we learn concepts by applying them directly to a project, such as building a website, a game, a data analysis script, or a simple AI model. This makes learning stick and gives you a portfolio to show for your effort. Scaffolded Learning: We break down complex projects into small, manageable steps. I start by demonstrating a concept, then we code it together ("I do, we do"), and finally, you tackle a similar challenge on your own with my guidance ("you do"). Socratic Method & Guided Discovery: I don't just give answers. I ask guiding questions to help you debug errors and think through problems logically. This develops your problem-solving skills, which is the most crucial ability for any programmer. Customized Curriculum: There is no one-size-fits-all syllabus. The projects and concepts we cover are tailored to your personal goals, interests, and current skill level. 2. Typical Length of a Lesson: My standard lesson is 60 minutes. This provides ample time to review previous concepts, introduce new material, and have a solid, uninterrupted coding session. For younger students (ages 7-12), I often recommend 45-minute sessions to maintain optimal focus and engagement. For complex topics like tackling a university project or diving deep into a new framework, 90-minute or 2-hour sessions are available and can be more productive. 3. My Qualifications/Experience: Industry Experience: I am a practicing software developer with over [X] years of professional experience in web development and data science, working with technologies like Python, JavaScript, and Java. Teaching Experience: I have been a dedicated tutor for [Y] years, helping dozens of students from complete beginners to university undergraduates achieve their coding goals. Practical Expertise: My lessons are grounded in real-world best practices, not just academic theory. I teach you how code is actually written in the industry. 4. Who Are My Lessons For? My lessons are designed for a wide range of students: Age & Level: Kids Coding (Ages 7-12): Introduction to computational thinking through fun, visual platforms like Scratch, followed by basic Python. Teens & High School Students (Ages 13-18): Building foundational skills in Python, Java, or web development (HTML, CSS, JS) for school, hobbies, or future careers. University Students & Adults: Mastering complex concepts, completing course assignments, building capstone projects, or transitioning into a tech career. Specialties include AI fundamentals, advanced web development, and project guidance. Specific Audiences: Hobbyists who want to bring an idea to life. Students needing help with school curriculum or exams (e.g., Computer Science, ICT). University students working on specific projects or struggling with course material. Professionals looking to upskill and learn a new technology. Located in Dubai, I offer lessons both online and in-person.
