About Lauren
I have been an art creator and art educator most of my life. I love art history, drawing, painting, and teaching. I have an undergraduate degree in Art Education from UNCC and a Masters degree in Art Education from ECU. I currently teach students grades k-12 at a private school. I live in Western North Carolina and I draw inspiration for many of my projects from nature.

I teach art with a fun, engaging hands on approach and love to include art history and a multicultural perspective. I am passionate about sharing my love for art and cultivating creative thinking skills through analyzing and creating art. A typical art lesson would include information on an artist, movement, or culture that we would draw inspiration from. Followed by instruction on methods and techniques and then guided instruction/feedback while creating art. I have experience teaching ages preschool to adult.
