About Dr Fawaz

Dr. Fawaz Ghali is an applied AI technologist, software architect, and researcher with over 25 years of experience spanning computer science academia, developer advocacy, and enterprise industry delivery. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Warwick and has worked extensively across both private sector tech enterprises and higher education as a senior lecturer and researcher. Over his career, his core technical focus has centred on artificial intelligence, distributed systems, data engineering, real-time analytics, and developer relations.

Throughout his professional journey, he has established himself as an independent consultant, advisor, and technical communicator. He specialises in helping organisations move beyond technology hype to implement practical, production-ready AI, cloud architecture, and data systems under real business constraints. In previous leadership roles, such as Head of Developer Relations and Principal Data Science Architect at Hazelcast, he focused on building low-latency, scalable applications and fostering global developer communities.

In addition to his industry consulting, Dr. Ghali is an active contributor to the broader computer science community through research and public speaking. He has authored more than 45 peer-reviewed scientific papers covering machine learning, cloud computing, and data science. A frequent keynote speaker, he has delivered over 300 presentations worldwide at major technology conferences, sharing insights on applied AI, platform engineering, and software delivery.

About the lesson

Mastering data concepts doesn't have to be confusing or overly theoretical. Whether you are a student trying to pass your classes, a beginner learning to code, or someone looking to switch into a tech career, these lessons break down complex tech topics into clear, easy-to-understand steps. Instead of memorising boring textbooks, you will learn by actually doing. We start from the basics and build your confidence step by step, using practical examples that make sense.

In our sessions, you will learn how to organise, store, and make sense of information using real industry tools. We cover Databases like Oracle and IBM DB2, showing you how to store data safely and search through it fast. You will also learn Data Structures, which are simply the smartest ways to arrange information in a computer so your programmes run fast and smoothly. Finally, we tackle Data Analysis, where you learn how to look at raw numbers and turn them into useful answers that help make big decisions.
The best way to learn tech is by building real things. That is why every lesson is completely hands-on and centred around fun, practical projects. Instead of just watching me speak, you will build your own working databases, clean up messy real-world datasets, and write code live in class. If you get stuck, we fix the errors together on the spot.

By the end of our lessons, you won't just know the theory—you will have a portfolio of real projects to prove what you can do.
