About Maia
I have been teaching singing for over 10 years, with a Bachelor of Science in Music Production specializing in Vocal Engineering. My lessons are tailored to each student, whether you’re in school, college, or a professional looking to refine your skills. I work closely with singer-songwriters to develop original music that reflects their unique style. Together, we explore lyric writing, melodic creation, and vocal phrasing that brings emotion to every performance. I also teach basic guitar and piano so you can confidently self-accompany. Ear training, harmony, improvisation, and music theory are central to my sessions. I believe in safe, sustainable vocal techniques to protect your voice while enhancing your range and tone. My approach is interactive and supportive, designed to bring out the best in each individual. Whether you’re preparing for a stage performance or writing your first song, I’ll guide you every step of the way. Students appreciate my focus on artistic authenticity and technical excellence. My teaching approach is all about helping each singer discover and develop their own unique voice. I focus on building a strong technical foundation while encouraging personal expression. We explore different vocal qualities, such as belting, head voice, and mixed voice, so you have full control over your sound. Every lesson is tailored to your voice, your pace, and your goals. I specialize in supporting both The Soloist in Training and The Adult Beginner. Together, we’ll identify your strengths and work through challenges with patience. I provide practical exercises and real-world singing applications. The aim is to unlock your full vocal potential in a safe, supportive space. Singing should feel exciting and empowering.
