About Sophie
In my lessons, we explore how mathematics shapes the way we handle money and make financial decisions. I have over 4 years of tutoring experience and hold an MSc in Financial Mathematics. My passion lies in helping students see mathematics not just as numbers and formulas, but as a language that tells powerful stories. Through mathematical storytelling, I bring concepts to life, making them engaging, relatable, and easier to understand.
A key part of my teaching is data visualization. I guide students in transforming raw numbers into intuitive charts, graphs, and infographics that reveal patterns and insights at a glance. These skills are essential for communicating complex ideas with clarity and impact.
Over the years, I’ve worked with students in data journalism, marketing, and research, equipping them with the tools to analyze, interpret, and present data effectively. We explore how visuals can make an argument stronger and a presentation more persuasive. I believe that when data is well-presented, it can spark curiosity and drive meaningful decisions.
