About Harper

In my math lessons, I focus on showing how closely math connects to the digital world we use every day. My style is relaxed, practical, and centered on real applications. We explore how math forms the backbone of coding logic, algorithmic thinking, and computer science. Students learn the basics of discrete mathematics and the core ideas behind computational processes. To make concepts easier, I use programming analogies and simple, interactive exercises. These activities help students understand how digital systems think and operate. I support learners in breaking down complex ideas into clear steps they can confidently apply. Whether someone enjoys gaming or architecture, I help them use math to express and solve computational problems. My lessons encourage curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving confidence. Students learn to see math not as a subject to fear, but as a powerful digital skill they can use anywhere. Each session aims to strengthen their ability to think logically and communicate ideas clearly.

About the lesson

I am a Maths tutor with over 4 years of experience and a MSc in Financial Mathematics. I love turning mathematics into a form of storytelling that students can easily connect with. My approach helps learners see numbers not just as values but as meaningful ideas waiting to be explored. I guide students in understanding how data can shape narratives and reveal insights.

A major part of my work involves teaching students how to create clear and engaging data visualizations. I help them transform numerical information into intuitive charts, graphs, and infographics that make complex concepts easy to understand. These skills have been especially useful for learners in data journalism, marketing, and research roles. I enjoy helping them express information in ways that are both accurate and visually compelling.

I focus on clarity, creativity, and confidence in every lesson. Students learn how to communicate their ideas through visuals that speak directly to the viewer. Watching learners grow from interpreting data to presenting it powerfully is incredibly rewarding. My goal is to help them see math as a tool for expression and understanding. In the end, nothing makes me happier than watching numbers tell a clear, meaningful, and impactful story.
