About Vani
I am Vanessa Mo, who studies at the University of Victoria as a third-year linguistic student. With great passion in teaching, I believe all my students can learn more about Mandarin and Chinese cultures. I have an A in LING 374 courses, which shapes me a systematic pedagogy in language teaching. I have great confidence in English teaching at a basic level in reading or writing though I am a non-native speaker. I have some related experience of learning English to pass down to non-native English speakers.

I can offer essential help to English learners of Mandarin. Through virtual tutoring, students can not only ramp up their vocabularies but also learn more grammar rules. As a linguistic third-year student in UVIC, classical method, task-based instruction, which are two of my favorite pedagogy strategies. I can also help students with basic English grammar and reading skills.

Perfect! Such a great teacher. She is very organized has detailed lesson plan and goes step by step. Wish this girl a lot of luck.
Perfect! I found Vani when I was in a desperate state overwhelmed with my LING 100 course.Vani is a very task based tutor who wants to help with any problems you may face in a course. She will make a PowerPoint with materials provided from my course and help make it more digestible for me to understand! Even though it was a free lesson, she went straight into helping me and discussing topics that I had trouble on. It was nice that Vani is very approachable and the lesson feels very causal, similar of that of a older sister or one with more experience. Thank you so much Vani! Looking forward to having more lessons soon.
