About Mahak

Hello! I am a dedicated and experienced math tutor specializing in helping students from Grades 3 through 12 unlock their full potential. I hold a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree, which provided me with a rock-solid foundation in analytical thinking and advanced mathematics.
Over the past 6 years of teaching, I have had the privilege of working with a diverse range of students. This extensive experience has taught me that no two learners are the same. I excel at diagnosing a student's specific learning gaps and adapting my teaching style to match their pace—whether they need visual breakdowns for elementary concepts or rigorous problem-solving strategies for high school advanced algebra and calculus.
Math can often feel intimidating, but my mission is to change that. I focus on building a warm, patient, and encouraging environment where mistakes are treated as valuable learning moments.

About the lesson

I offer engaging, highly structured math tutoring tailored for students from Grade 3 all the way through Grade 12. My goal is to transform math from a source of anxiety into a source of confidence by focusing on deep conceptual understanding rather than just memorizing formulas.

Each 60-minute session is systematically broken down to maximize learning:

Review & Warm-up (5 mins): A quick concept check to ensure previous gaps are filled.

Interactive Teaching (15 mins): Clear, visual explanations of new topics using a digital whiteboard.

Guided Collaboration (15 mins): Solving problems together to catch and fix misconceptions in real-time.

Independent Practice & Review (25 mins): The student tackles targeted problems to build independence, followed by exam-style feedback.

My approach adapts seamlessly to your child's academic stage:
Grades 3–5: Building strong foundations in arithmetic, fractions, and visual math.

Grades 6–8: Transitioning smoothly into abstract thinking, pre-algebra, and geometry.

Grades 9–12: Mastering advanced algebra, trigonometry, calculus, and targeted school exam or standardized test preparation.
