About Sunny

Hi, I'm Seonyeong, and I go by Sunny. I'm a native Korean speaker, born and raised in Korea, where I have spent most of my life. I've always been passionate about learning languages and teaching Korean. During my time in college, where I majored in Korean linguistics and literature, I managed my time not only for my studies but also for engaging in various educational activities with children and teenagers. I worked as an afterschool teaching assistant, teaching elementary school students the basics of broadcasting and reporting. Also, I tutored high school students in Korean and history. I found it very rewarding to see my students grow and develop. More recently, I completed a Korean teaching training program organized by a Korean government-affiliated institution. Through this program, I learned effective methods for teaching Korean as a foreign language. Moving forward, I hope to inspire my students to develop an interest in Korean and experience the joy of learning the language. Thank you!

About the lesson

In my classes, I focus on making learning fun and interactive! We’ll practice real-life conversations, work on pronunciation, and explore Korean culture to understand the language in context. I also use structured lesson materials to help you build a strong foundation step by step.

I believe that every student has different needs when learning a language. Some may want to focus on speaking, while others prefer writing, grammar, or advanced vocabulary. That’s why I always communicate with my students to adjust the lesson style and difficulty to fit their goals. I also love incorporating their interests into our lessons!

If you're a K-pop or K-drama fan, we can chat about that in class! My goal is to help you feel confident speaking Korean while having fun along the way.
