About Mahawa
Hi! My name is Mahawa, and I’m a friendly and patient student who enjoys helping younger students build confidence in English. I’m interested in helping 3rd-7th grade with reading and writing skills. I’m currently a senior in high school myself and trust me I understand how overwhelming school assignments and homework can be. My goal is to make my lessons interactive, fun and easy to understand. I’m excited to work with students and support them throughout the year!

I use the “I do, we do then you do” strategy instead of expecting them to know already. I will make graphic organizers to break down each step I’m saying and I will make the lessons fun and interactive so they are engaging to the child. These lessons are for elementary school students so they can build strong reading and writing skills before entering middle school.
