About Etta

As a Spanish tutor with 14+ years of teaching experience, I enjoy helping High School and College students discover the confidence to communicate in a new language. I believe every learner is different, so I create personalised lesson plans that reflect individual learning styles, interests, and academic goals. My approach ensures that students receive focused instruction that supports steady improvement while keeping learning enjoyable.

My lessons include grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, writing, listening, speaking, and practical conversation. I explain concepts clearly and use interactive activities, real-life situations, and meaningful practice exercises that help students understand and remember new material. My goal is to help learners use Spanish confidently both inside and outside the classroom.

I am known for my patience and ability to build positive relationships with students. I encourage them to ask questions, practise regularly, and view mistakes as valuable learning experiences. I provide detailed feedback and adapt lessons whenever necessary to ensure every student continues making progress.

A unique feature of my teaching is the integration of cultural learning. Students explore Spanish-speaking traditions, festivals, and everyday customs while learning authentic expressions used by native speakers. This helps learners connect with the language in a practical and enjoyable way.

About the lesson

I follow a teaching methodology for Spanish that emphasises motivation, communication, creativity, and strong time management. I keep students motivated by creating a supportive environment, setting clear goals, and celebrating achievements to help them feel confident and eager to learn.

Communication is at the core of my approach; I help students practise speaking, listening, reading, and writing through interactive exercises, role-plays, and real-life examples. Creativity is key in my teaching; I include storytelling, games, visual aids, and engaging activities to make lessons interesting and memorable.

Time management ensures that each class is structured, covering grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and conversation practice efficiently. I also guide learners on how to manage their study and practice time outside class for continuous improvement. Along with Spanish, I can teach related subjects like grammar, pronunciation, and learning strategies.

My goal is to make learning Spanish simple, structured, and enjoyable while building fluency and confidence.
