About Bella
Hi, I’m Bella Wang and I’m currently a sophomore in high school. I'm 16 years old and live in the East Cobb area. Math is one of my favorite subjects since middle school and my favorite concepts are conics and logarithms. I definitely prefer algebra over geometry but I can do both. I can teach up to AP PreCalculus but am more comfortable with algebra and trignometry. There are other areas of math slightly outside of PreCalculus that I can teach such as set theory and vectors.
My goal is to not only help the student understand the concept but also bridge the gap between learning and executing. I offer test taking advice because I used to always make careless mistakes and blank out on math tests, even when I knew the information, so I understand how that feels.

I look forward to teaching my student(s) one-on-one and building a personal connection. I am available online through platforms such as Zoom and Skype or in person. My local library is East Cobb library and I would prefer to book a room there for in person sessions. Aside, from helping the student understand the concept, I also provide lots of practice problems and test-taking advice/strategies.
A typical lesson would start with an assessment of how well the student understands the topic (whether it's something brand-new or maybe they need to "brush up" in a few areas). Afterwards, we'll go into a deep dive discussion, complete with examples and special cases (if there are any). Additionally, a short practice exam will be given (most likely 3-7 questions) to assess the student's knowledge, and answers will be discussed. Finally, any other questions or concerns will be answered and I also will offer some test-taking advice. In total, one topic should take about 20-45 minutes to cover based on the understanding of the student and if he or she has any questions.
