About Gursagar

I'm a dedicated and tenacious upcoming researcher and academic fascinated by the forever expanding realm of Physics. I aspire to leave a mark in the arena of Physics. To me, Physics is not just a field of study but a doorway to knowledge beyond imagination. I endeavor to assimilate knowledge and then use it to solve practical real world problems. My special interest lies in the field of Astrophysics and Quantum Gravity. I’m a hardworking individual with the utmost sincerity to work as a researcher and academic in the Physics landscape and to further the evolution of this amazing branch of Science. My students can rest assured that with me they will grow to love Physics, Science, Mathematics and the teaching experience. I've a teaching experience of roughly 3 years which provides valuable skills, knowledge and experiences. Teaching is also a way for me to polish my knowledge as well. One of my idols Dr. Richard Feynman, one of the greatest Physicist of all times once said "If you want to learn something, teach it''. So teaching is also away for me to augment and polish my teaching skills and my knowledge and also continue to share my passion to grow and augment with my students.

About the lesson

In my classroom, I focus to engage students with the pillars of PICA- Perspective, Interest, Critical/Conceptual thinking and Applications. These are the core of good education in my opinion. I try to give my students a new perspective to look and study concepts. A new perspective to see concepts gives students a new way to learn and also births in them interest that might not have been originally. I then build on the interest to augment it and make the student fall in love with the subject. I believe that if a teacher can build love and interest in the students for the subject then the student can learn and grow beyond the horizons of the classroom as an interest in the student would likely result in students making extra efforts by themselves to learn and augment. A part of education is also not just learn new concepts but to learn to question what is being taught. This I try to build by posing critical and conceptual questions to students which make them question and implement the ideas that are being taught. Finally, I introduce with the students or ask them to come up with applications of what is being taught since I believe that education should always lead and guide to developing individuals who can put into practical application the knowledge they spent years learning. With these principles I try to build a friendly and compassionate bond with the students that ensures that knowledge and experiences can be shared both ways.
