About Shivalika
I am a Comparative Literature scholar, currently in the maddening race to finish my thesis. I have been a Huayu Enrichment Scholarship recipient. I teach both simplified and traditional Chinese script. I have learned that falling in love with this language is the only way to learn Mandarin.

My teaching method is very unique. Old-school ways of teaching are a must while teaching Mandarin, but I stress a lot on visual aid. I play various games to make the process fun and keep the students motivated! Presentations, impromptu extempore, food-walks (if you are in my city), are all a part of my classroom.
