About Jan
I have written professionally for newspapers, and I have published reserach, poetry, fiction, and essays. I taught writing at the college from freshman comp to literature to writing for business and industry.
I love working with students who are new to the writing process, as well as those who write constantly. No editing job is too large; no writing assignment is too brief.

I work best with students who are still learning the forms of essay and argument. I believe that creativity and humor are important elements of all expository writing, whether it be criticism, research or explaining how to do something.
I have taught college level writing--both expository and creative writing--for over 20 years.
I also do copy editing.
