About Griffin
Hi there! I am a linguist by training, and I have experience with a number of different Spanish dialects, especially Rioplatense Spanish (Argentina and Uruguay), Mexican Spanish, Peninsular Spanish, and Colombian Spanish.
I also have firsthand experience with every step of the process of learning Spanish, from picking apart sounds and basic conjugations to making friendships and navigating an entirely Spanish-speaking work environment.
I have been learning Spanish since I was 3 years old, and became fully fluent in the language after living in Buenos Aires, Argentina for six months. That experience led me to understand the importance of a solid foundation in phonetics and a familiarity with conversational varieties in Spanish in making conversation, building relationships, and navigating every aspect of social life.

My lessons offer a comprehensive introduction to the Spanish language, targeted at beginner and intermediate learners. We'll focus on phonetics, common vocabulary, and basic verb forms in order to create a solid, comfortable foundation of fluency.
My teaching style centers around basic conversation, guided speaking and listening exercises, and generally trying to work with new vocabulary "in context."
