About Ged

I have been teaching people of all levels guitar for over 35 years. I was the Lead Guitarist for The Lime Spiders 1986-2017. Released 3 studio albums & numerous singles for Virgin Records Australia from 1987-91. Toured England & Europe, the USA, & Australia extensively for over 14 years. Original member of Aria award winning band The Cruel Sea.
Released two albums with award winning folk band Wheelers & Dealers who performed regularly at The National Folk Festival for over 12 years, Port Fairy Folk Festival & numerous others (Blue mountains Folk Festival, Majors Creek, Maldon, Dorrigo, Illawarra to name a few) over 15 year period, & toured Queensland for the Queensland Arts Council 2011.
I enjoy teaching all levels of music to people of all differing abilities, complete beginners to advanced students, Heavy Rock to Classical & all in between.

Please note - no free lesson. Over 35 years experience teaching people 8 years to adults up to 76 years, all welcome, complete beginners to advanced.

I have played & recorded with a vast array of artists in the Rock, Rockabilly, Folk & Roots genres. Original member of ARIA winners The Cruel Sea. Lime Spiders Lead Guitarist 1986-2016. Released 3 albums with Virgin Records, toured USA & Europe.
Diploma of Contemporary Guitar Studies with Distinction at AIM Sydney 1994. Associate Level Classical Guitar Trinity College London 1998.
I play Guitar, Mandolin, Ukulele, Dobro, Bottle neck, 6 & 8 string Lap Steel Guitars & the Pedal Steel Guitar.
I teach Classical Guitar from Preliminary to 8th grade (AMEB & Trinity College London), Rock’n’Roll, Heavy Rock, Rockabilly, Blues, Country, Folk, Celtic Music, Lap Steel & Pedal Steel & Slide Guitar.
I have tutored in guitar at the Australian Institute Of Music (1994-95), Blackwattle Bay High School Glebe, Tempe High School 2002 - 2015, Artarmon Public School & Kegworth Primary School Leichhardt & privately for over 35 years.
