About Lily
Literature is my drive, there is nothing quite like sitting down with a student who has absolutely no interest in their assigned texts, and then after just 15 minutes watching their face light up as they realize reading and writing don’t have to be mind-numbing tasks, but are instead opportunities to combine your thoughts and feelings as one, in clear and distinct words. I am not here to judge anyone for their lack of interest in literature, I am here to show everyone that we can all use reading and writing to understand the world around us, and the world within us.

Why do you read? Because you have to, because it’s a mandatory part of your schooling? That may be the case, but to be able to understand what you’re reading, to get into writing your own works, and putting your passion and voice into your words is a skill you will carry with you all your life. When I was younger, I learned how to comprehend what the author wants most for the reader to know, and subsequently I learned how to convey my mind in writing in whatever form I needed to. Be it for school or personal interests, I aim to teach others the same skills.
