About Samantha

As a licensed educator certified in PreK-6 General Education, K-12 Special Education, and Early Childhood Education, I am committed to helping students build both confidence and independence in students' learning. I understand that every student learns differently, which is why I tailor my instruction to fit each individual’s needs rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach. My goal is not only to help students improve academically, but also to help them develop the skills and confidence needed to succeed on their own. Whether a student needs support in reading, literacy, essay writing, or overall English skills, I provide patient, professional guidance in a supportive environment where mistakes are treated as opportunities for growth. I am passionate about helping students strengthen their abilities, discover what strategies work best for them, and realize that they are capable of success.

About the lesson

My approach as a tutor is centered around identifying each student’s individual strengths and areas of difficulty rather than using a “one size fits all” method. I believe every student learns differently, so my goal is to tailor lessons to fit their specific needs and learning style.

My teaching method focuses on pinpointing the exact skills or topics a student struggles with and building from there. I work closely with students to determine where misunderstandings are occurring so we can address the root of the problem instead of just memorizing answers.

A typical lesson begins with the student sharing what they are struggling with or what concepts they need help understanding. From there, we work together through an introductory activity designed to model and practice the skill step-by-step. Once I feel the student is gaining confidence, I gradually release responsibility and allow them to try independently. I then provide another activity or assignment to assess understanding and determine whether the student is ready to move forward or if additional practice and support are needed.

What sets me apart as a tutor is my commitment to individualized instruction. I adapt my lessons, strategies, and pacing to each student rather than expecting every learner to fit into the same approach. My background in both General Education and Special Education also allows me to support students with a variety of learning needs and abilities.

I provide tutoring for students in grades PreK–12, offering support in English, reading, literacy, writing, and essay development.
