About Nathan

I am a teacher and coach at a High School in the Midwest. I care deeply for my students and know that my purpose is in serving them by helping them learn in a way that makes sense to them. I am proactive and organized which allows me to take time to help you master your goals. I am flexible and look forward to helping you!

As someone who recently graduated and began teaching in the business/finance realm, I am committed to helping young people feel real-world confidence in their ability to steward and care for their financial well-being while also being active learners.

About the lesson

Hi! I'm a licensed high school business and personal finance teacher who is passionate about helping students not only improve their grades but also develop confidence and a true understanding of financial literacy.

My teaching philosophy is simple: learning should make sense and mistakes are OK. Rather than asking students to memorize facts or formulas, I focus on helping them understand the "why" behind each concept. I use real-world examples, quality practice, and example materials that connect you to the topic.

A typical lesson begins by identifying what the student already knows and where they're struggling. From there, we'll review key concepts, work through practice problems together or refresh the content, and finish with independent practice to reinforce what was learned. I encourage thoughtful questions throughout every session and adapt my teaching style to fit each student's individual learning needs.
